How to Keep Children Busy While I'm Focused on Work:
Hi Mommy,
I know it’s very difficult to balance kids while working from home. Children often seek our attention, and when they don’t get it, they may start to cause some problems. As a mother of three children who also works from home, I’d like to share some tips that I hope will help you.
Firstly, before you start your home office work, it’s helpful to engage your kids in an activity. I usually give my kids all-purpose flour to make some dough. First, I wash their hands, give them utensils and flour, and let them create something with it. I stay with them initially to build their interest, and remember, flour is not harmful to kids.
Secondly, sometimes I mix two or three types of pasta in one bowl and keep another two or three bowls aside to separate the pasta by shape. This game is also great for boosting brain activity. Kids love to separate pasta by shape and keep them in another bowl.
Thirdly, children are fond of colors. Coloring is a very helpful activity to keep them busy. I give my children a picture to copy, and they stay busy trying to replicate it.
Fourthly, cleaning furniture is another option to keep them busy. I give them a task and some rules about timing.
I hope these tips help you manage your work and children more effectively.
